Women's ministry

Women’s Ministry at OxBF exists to encourage and equip women to worship our Savior and Lord Jesus Christ through the study and application of Scripture and the deepening of relationships with other women for growth and accountability. We know that sometimes studying the Bible can seem daunting and hard, but it is life – the very Word of God given to us. Our desire is to be a group of women committed to studying the scriptures together and allowing them to teach, correct, train and equip us as Godly women.

  Winter 2021

If you're like me, right now I'm trying to warm up in a cozy flannel blanket with a cup of hot mint tea.  As the temps have dipped outside and winter is settling in, we need to preach to our own hearts that God is the One Creator God over all seasons. Sometimes the days in winter can feel icy-cold and bleak and unproductive ... like nothing living will ever grow from the hard soil. When we’re tired of waiting and unable to see what growth may come, we have to be still in who God is and not in who we are.

We hope you'll join us this Winter as we look for Jesus Christ in the first book of the Bible, Genesis.  Jen Wilkin will walk us through 10 sessions of verse-by-verse study of Genesis 1-11. We will learn the fundamental truths about God and watch Him bring light after darkness, order after chaos, and rest after toil - all through the power of His Word.
