Children's Ministry

While you worship, we provide children’s ministry for infants-sixth grade in a nurturing and engaging environment. Children are never too young to hear God’s Word, and even our toddlers gather for a short Bible teaching. Our preschoolers-elementary kids experience a more structured environment with large-group worship and teaching and small-group discussion and activities. For our teaching, we use The Gospel Project, a Christ-centered Bible study resource that follows a chronological timeline of Bible events and presents the story of redemption through Jesus each week.

Director of Children's Ministry:  Angie Dunn

Mission Statement: Our mission is for children to KNOW Christ, and understand His Word, GROW in their relationship with God and others, and SHOW the love of Christ to the world.

Security: We use a secure check-in and check-out process and security nametags for the children. We always have two adult volunteers in a room who have completed an intensive application process.

Check-in: Fifteen minutes before each service, you may check-in your child at their classroom. After filling out the requested family information, you and your child will be given matching identification numbers on sticker name tags that are exclusive to your family and your visit. Elementary children will receive a permanent nametag at the parent’s request.

Check-out: During check-out you must present your matching name tag and initial your name that your child has been picked up.

Stay Updated: Stay updated on our happenings by liking us on OBFKids Facebook and following us on OBFKids Twitter.  If you are new, please fill out the form below so we can get you connected.

Volunteers:  Our Children’s Ministry is always looking for volunteers to help with OBFKids on Sunday mornings. We want you to love volunteering at our church and especially in Children’s Ministry! We have opportunities for you to serve in the babies', toddlers' and elementary classrooms.

Please checkout the section under children's ministry on our serving page to learn more.

Infants through fourth grade

OBFKids is a children’s ministry uniquely designed with your child in mind! Children experience safe, age-appropriate environments where the Bible is taught in a creative and relevant way.  We are blessed with many amazing volunteers who teach, love and care for the children while parents enjoy Sunday worship.

Club 56

Fifth and sixth grade

Club56  is uniquely designed just for fifth and sixth graders. We understand that they are maturing and ready to own their faith, but still want to have fun and be a kid.  We believe it is important that they connect with God where they are however; we want to empower them to grow, develop, learn and ask questions, as well as discover who God has made them to be. They need to know that God loves them just as they are, and He has a plan for their life. We strive to make everyone feel accepted and feel the love of Christ the minute they walk into our classroom.

Club 56 meets throughout the school year during the 10:45 service.

Junior Jam Club

Third through sixth graders gather together once a month on Saturday or Sunday to build relationships with each other as well as serve our community! Some of our activities include: ice skating, bon fires, bowling, leaf raking for those in need, Fall events and Christmas caroling.
