While you worship, we provide children’s ministry for infants-sixth grade in a nurturing and engaging environment. Children are never too young to hear God’s Word, and even our toddlers gather for a short Bible teaching. Our preschoolers-elementary kids experience a more structured environment with large-group worship and teaching and small-group discussion and activities. For our teaching, we use The Gospel Project, a Christ-centered Bible study resource that follows a chronological timeline of Bible events and presents the story of redemption through Jesus each week.
Director of Children's Ministry: Angie Dunn
Mission Statement: Our mission is for children to KNOW Christ, and understand His Word, GROW in their relationship with God and others, and SHOW the love of Christ to the world.
Security: We use a secure check-in and check-out process and security nametags for the children. We always have two adult volunteers in a room who have completed an intensive application process.
Check-in: Fifteen minutes before each service, you may check-in your child at their classroom. After filling out the requested family information, you and your child will be given matching identification numbers on sticker name tags that are exclusive to your family and your visit. Elementary children will receive a permanent nametag at the parent’s request.
Check-out: During check-out you must present your matching name tag and initial your name that your child has been picked up.
Volunteers: Our Children’s Ministry is always looking for volunteers to help with OBFKids on Sunday mornings. We want you to love volunteering at our church and especially in Children’s Ministry! We have opportunities for you to serve in the babies', toddlers' and elementary classrooms.
